En un lugar cercano a la ciudad de Bremen vivía un burro. Estaba tan viejo que ya no podía trabajar. El burro pensó que como él cantaba tan bonito podría formar una orquesta.

El burro se encontró con un perro viajero y triste, a quien sus dueños echaron de la casa, y le dijo:

- Tú cantas muy bonito. ¡Vamos a Bremen y formaremos una orquesta!.

El burro y el perro se encontraron con un gato viejo y triste que ya no podía cazar ratones y a quien sus dueños echaron de la casa. El burro le dijo:

- Tú cantas muy bonito. ¡Vamos a Bremen y formaremos una orquesta!

El burro, el perro y el gato se encontraron con un gallo viejo y triste, a quien sus dueños querían cocinar en caldo. El burro le dijo:

-¡Vámonos a Bremen y formaremos una orquesta!.

Cuando llegaron a Bremen todos vieron una casa con las luces encendidas. El burro les dijo:

-¿Qué les parece si cantamos? Tal vez nos den de comer. Pero dentro de la casa estaban unos ladrones.

El perro se subió sobre el burro, el gato sobre el perro y el gallo sobre el gato. Contaron hasta tres y empezaron a cantar. Los ladrones se asustaron con los horribles cantos y salieron corriendo de la casa.

Entonces, el burro, el perro, el gato y el gallo entraron en la casa, comieron y se durmieron. Los ladrones regresaron a la casa. Pero al entrar...el gallo los picó. El gato los rasguñó. El perro los mordió. Y el burro los pateó.

Los ladrones salieron corriendo y nunca más volvieron. Los animales decidieron quedarse en la casa, donde cantaban alegremente. Desde entonces la gente los llamó los músicos de Bremen.

Stadt Musikanter

Near the city of Bremen lived a donkey. He was old and he could not work.

The donkey thought that he was a great singer so he could be part of a Band.

The donkey found a sad dog that was traveling; his owners kick him out his house, and told him:

- You sing so beautiful. ¡We can go to Bremen and be part of a Band!

The donkey and the dog found an old and sad cat that couldn't chase a mouse and whom his owner kick out of his house. The donkey said:

- You sing so beautiful. ¡We can go to Bremen and be part of a Band!

The donkey, the dog and the cat found an old and sad rooster, his owner wanted to put him in the soap. The donkey said:

-¡We can go to Bremen and be part of a Band!

When they got to Bremen they saw a house with light on. The donkey said:

- What if we sing? Maybe they give us food. But inside the house there were buglers.

The dog jumps on the donkey, the cat on the dog and the rooster on the cat.

They count one, two, and three and started to sing. The buglers frightened with the awful songs and run away from the house.

Then the donkey, the dog, the cat and the rooster went inside the house, eat and slept. The buglers came back to the house.

But when they got inside... the rooster pecks them. The cat scratches them.

The dog bit them. And the donkey kicks them out.

The buglers run away and never came back. The animals decided to stay at home, where they happily sing. Since then the people called them the Bremen Stadt Musikanter.
